WYNOT — The Thursday night game between the Wynot Blue Devils and the Tri County Northeast Wolfpack was a tale of two halves.
Wynot would dominate the first half as they raced to a 43-13 hal ftime lead. The Wolfpack would rally in the second half and go on a 39-22 run but the Blue Devils were still able to prevail by a fi nal of 65-50.
Wynot’s season record improved to 6-5 while the Wolfpack fell to 2-10.
Ten players would enter the scoring column for the Blue Devils led by Devin Brummer who hit five three pointers and ended the contest taking scoring honors with his 19 points.
Tri County would put three players in double figures led by L andyn Servine with 15 points. Thatcher Lamp and Knox Lamp each had 10 points for the Wolfpack.
The Blue Devils came out firing lead by 6 points from Devin Brummer and 4 points each by Carter Hans and Kotner Koch they ran away to a 20-4 lead.
In the second quarter Tri County got 4 points from Knox Lamp and a trey by Landyn Sevine. Wynot was on a roll aa they went on a 24-9 run to build a big 43-13 advantage at halftime.
The third quarter saw the Wolfpack try and rally. Landyn Servine hit a pair of threes and Knox Lamp had a pair of layins. Wynot countered with four points from Braylon Hans and three pointers by Devin Brummer and Lane Heimes as the Blue Devils maintained a 44-26 lead.
The fourth quarter saw a huge rally by the Wolfpack. Tucker Anderson and Landyn Sevine each connected twice from three point range and Thatcher Lamp poured in10 points to fueled the Wolfpack run.
Wynot held them off with two three pointer by Devin Brummer, one from behind the arch by Nixen Heimes and a offensive put back by Jaci Lange as the Blue Devil took the 65-50 win.
