LAUREL - The old adage “to the victors belong the spoils” is spot on for the 2025 Lady Bears volleyball team.
The Class C2 Nebraska State volleyball runners-up racked up a lot of accolades on the way to the second-place hardware in November.
Rena Rasmussen, who just scored her 1,000th career point on the basketball floor, also hit the 1,500-kill plateau this fall.
She was named to the Class C2 All-Tournament team by the Omaha World Herald and the Lincoln Journal-Star, named to the Norfolk Daily News’ Elite 8 First Team, All-Nebraska Class C2 First Team by the Omaha World Herald and was nominated as the Prep Dig Hitter of the Year.
Setter Carlie Kvols was tabbed All-Nebraska Class C2 First Team by the Omaha World Herald, was Second Team in the Norfolk Daily News’ Elite 8 and was nominated as the Prep Dig Setter of the Year and Player of the Year.
Kaida Eriksen was named to the Lincoln Journal-Star’s Class C2 All-Tournament Team, the Norfolk Daily News’ Elite 8 Third Team and was named honorable mention to the C2 All-Nebraska team by the World Herald.
Tyler Recob, the lone senior in the group, was named Class C2 Nebraska honorable mention by the Omaha World Herald and was named honorable mention by the NorfolkDaily News Elite 8.
Taelynn Settje was named honorable mention by the Norfolk Daily News.
