LAUREL - The Laurel-Concord-ColeridgeBearsheadedintotheChristmas break and moratorium with a 3-3 record after dropping a pair of games at home.
Plainview came to town and defeated LCC in Greater Northeast Activities Conference action on Dec. 19, 54-40, after PoncacametoLaurelandwenthomewith a 72-33 victory.
The two teams played evenly in the opening frame before the Pirates forged in front in the second quarter to take a 29-25 lead into the halftime locker room.
Plainview added a point to the advantage inthethirdquarterthengotdefensive and held the Bears to just five points in the final eight-minute session.

In the game against the Indians, a frigid second half spelled doom for the BearsasPoncaoutscoredLaurel-Concord-Coleridge 44-10 in the final two frames to blow open a five-point advantage at the end of the first two quarters.
Parker Hoeppner and Cade Johnson shared scoring honors with seven points apiece for LCC. Tanner Thompson added six and Drey Pupped tossed in five.
Thompson pulled down six rebounds and Talon Carson corralled five.
Johnson dished out four assists and contributed three steals.
