STANTON - The Laurel-Concord-Coleridge Bears traveled to Stanton Dec. 13 for the Stanton Invitational where the Bears ended up 15th.
DavidCitywontheteamtitlewith231.5points with Pender second with 157 and Plainview third at 150.5.
LCC scored nine points on the day. Jake Lipp at 190 pounds was the lone Bear to make the medal stand taking sixth place.
Laurel-Concord-Coleridge coach Chad Koch had this to say about his teams’ progress: “Bothmeetsthisweekhadgoodcompetition. We had some flu this past week that hit our team hard which didn’t allow us to wrestle everyone.
“The girls are doing a good job of creating offense on their feet. They are wrestling hard. As we continue to gain experience they will fix some fundamentalerrorsthatcostussomematchesfor both boys and girls. “The boys did a good job responding after their first matches with bringing the physicality aspect needed to compete,” Koch said. TheBearswilltraveltoOsmondforthe last meet before the Christmas break and moratorium. The meet is set for Dec. 20.
