LCC PTO continues Holiday tradition with Giving Day

LAUREL — The LCC Parents Teachers Organization K-8 continued its annual holiday tradition Dec. 12 by delivering treats and gifts to students and staff at both the middle school and elementary school.

At the middle school in Coleridge, students were greeted with fresh-glazed doughnuts, while teachers received popcorn kits, seasonings, and chips with dip. The PTO also presented the school with a portable projection screen for use during assemblies and movie days. Members of the middle school student council joined in the celebration during the gift opening.

At the elementary school in Laurel, each student in kindergarten through fifth grade selected a new book to take home along with a bookmark. Teachers received coffee pods and candy, and the PTO presented the school with a check to help fund classroom supplies. PTO leaders thanked everyone who supported the Fuss-Free Fundraiser earlier this school year, noting that the generosity helped make the holiday activities possible. The LCC PTO K-8 is planning several spring events, including Family Math and Game Night, a Father-Daughter Dance in March and a Mother-Son Event in April. More information is available on the LCC PTO K-8 Facebook page.

Shellene Funk Co-President Laurel-Concord-Coleridge Parent Teachers Organization (PTO), Elle White PTO Middle School member and Middle School Student Council members Jordyen Carballa De La Rosa, Sophie Newton, and Autumn Funk LCC PTO Middle School member all worked together to provide treats and gifts for students and staff at both the middle school and elementary school.
