Nebraska Medicaid seeking clinical provider to fill vacant spot on committee

LINCOLN β€” The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Division of Medicaid and Long-Term Care (MLTC) is seeking a Medicaid clinical provider to fill an open position in the Medicaid Advisory Committee (MAC).

β€œThe MAC is comprised of various professionals across the medical field, and having a clinical provider such as a physician, nurse, or clinical social worker would provide the committee with valuable insights through their expertise and specialized knowledge,” said MLTC Director Drew Gonshorowski.

Interested applicants for the open position can visit https://dhhs. ne.gov/Pages/MAC.aspx for more information on how to apply. Applications can be sent to [email protected] and will be accepted until Monday, December 29.

The MAC advises the Medicaid agency on overall policy development and program improvements. The committee has a broad focus and includes a diverse range of stakeholders, including healthcare providers, community organizations, advocates, and policy experts.

The MAC meets from 3 to 5 p.m. on the third Thursday of every other month. For more information on future meetings, visit https:// dhhs.ne.gov/Pages/MAC.aspx.
