CREIGHTON - The Laurel-Concord-Coleridge Bears hit the wrestling mats for the first time this season at Creighton on Dec. 6 and wound up fourth in the team standings after scoring 53 points.
Jake Lipp led the way for the Bears bringing home the secondplace hardware at 190 pounds.
He pinned his first four opponents before getting pinned in the finals by Jacob Motacek of Niobrara/ Verdigre.
Weston Patefield also picked up some hardware.
He was fourth at 144 pounds finishing the tournament with a 2-3 record and scored 13 team-points on the day, Alex Allison was fifth at 175 with teammate, Jayson Wayman placing at the same weight class.
Aiden Haydon was eighth at 157. The Bears will travel to Stanton on Dec. 13 for the Stanton Invitational.
