HARTINGTON - Hartington is making its 16th appearance at State One Act this week.

Hartington High made it to State seven times, while Hartington-Newcastle has now qualified for State nine times.

The local troupe has won 10 state championships and one state runner-up.

HNS last won the State title in 2022. HNS isn’t the only Cedar County school to qualify for State.

LCC also won its District last week to advance to State. Both schools will compete at State Thursday at the Johnny Carson Theatre in Norfolk. Laurel competes in Class C1, while HNS competes in Class C2.
