LAUREL — Three Laurel-Concord-Coleridge Bears return to the hardwood for head coach Quin Conner to try to improve on a 9-16 rec ord last season.
Juniors Cade Johnson and Tanner Thompson are back along with sophomore Drey Puppe.
Johnson was named to the Greater Northeast Activities Conference honorable mention list last season as a sophomore after averaging over eight points per game.
The Bear trio will be joined by seniors Shane Langford and Oscar Salas; juniors Hunter McGhee, Dillon Sanderson and Luke Jackson; sophomore Sebastian Van Drongelen and freshman Owen Johnson.
The Bears open the season Dec. 5 against Crofton at home then travel to Atkinson on Dec. 6 to take on West Holt in their GNAC opener.
Homer, Ponca and Plainview all come to Laurel before Christmas and the Bears will have a road game at Tri County Northeast on Dec. 12 in Emerson.
The Great Northeast Nebraska Shootout will open the post-holiday schedule at Wayne Dec. 29-31.
January features games with Elkhorn Valley, Cedar Catholic, Wayne and Battle Creek with the GNAC Tournament set for Feb. 2 through Feb. 7.
LCC travels to Wisner on Feb. 12 to take on Wisner-Pilger before ending the regular season with a home date with Wynot on Feb. 20.
