CCHS inducts new members into Honor Society

HARTINGTON — Cedar Catholic inducted 11 new three letters of recommendation. Again, this recognimembers into the Cedar Catholic Chapter of National Honor Society Nov. 18.

To qualify for the Cedar Catholic Chapter, students must have a cumulative GPA of 93.0%. Not only are academics important but leadership, character and service are also critical. Once scholarship has been met, students are asked to complete an information sheet listing any leadership roles, service work and honors. Students must be involved in their community, parish and school. Students also write an essay to explain how their service has enhanced their leadership and character. Character of the student is also considered through tion is a highly coveted honor.

The Induction Ceremony was led by the current NHS President Langston Christensen. Vice President Kaley Lammers spoke on the topic of Scholarship, Secretary Ava Stewart covered Character, Treasurer Kighter Wortmann touched on Leadership, and Historian Breah Steffen addressed Service.

The new members are Mason Bailer, Kally Becker, Brynn Bernecker, Maverick Heine, Autumn Kathol, Broderick Kleinschmit, Morgan Kuchta, Camryn Loecker, Savannah Pick, Graham Potts and Anisten Wortmann.
