Lippert picks up post-season honors

HARTINGTON - The Greater Northeast Activities Conference recently announced its All Conference and All Conference Honorable Mention teams for the 2025 volleyball season.

Conference champion, Laurel-Concord-Coleridge, placed four Lady Bears on the first team. The first team is comprised of 15 players from the eight-team conference.

West Holt landed three on the first team; Summerland, Plainview, Elkhorn Valley and Lutheran High Northeast had two players tabbed each.

The lone Hartington-Newcastle Lady Wildcat on either list was sophomore Vayda Lippert who was placed on the honorable mention list.

“Vayda has played multiple positions for us this year due to injuries as well as strategic changes,” said Hartington-Newcastle head coach Sarah Edwards. She had the most digs, most kills and led the team in serve reception.

“She is a competitor with high expectations for herself. She works hard to accomplish this on and off the court.”
