WYNOT — “To the victors comes the spoils” as the old adage goes, and Class D2 State Champion Wynot is raking in some “spoils” as all conference volleyball selections were announced recently by the Lewis & Clark Conference coaches.
Five Wynot players were named on the lists, three on the first team, one on the second team and one received honorable mention.
Wynot senior Kenna Oligmueller was the first on the first team and was designated the team captain for the 2025 elite list.
Oligmueller was the heart and soul of the Lady Blue Devils’ run to the title a couple of weeks back, posting over 400 kills on the season in her 1,000kill career and registering over 350 digs, but she had a lot of help.
Haley Wieseler was also named to the top squad after setting up Oligmueller and company at the net for kill after kill, tipping up 850 set assists and doing a good job of stuffing the opposition’s offensive attack with just over 70 blocks on the season. She also added 212 digs to her senior campaign.
The third Wynot player on the first team was senior Jordan Foxhoven.
Foxhoven showed her versatility and value to her teammates accumulating over 220 kills, 250 digs and led the team with 60 ace serves.
Jaylin Geisen was the queen of the back row, leading the team with over 400 digs in her senior season and was tabbed by the L&C coaches on the second team as the Lady Blue Devils’ libero.
Freshman Mya Pinkelman was named to the honorable mention list and will be a key ingredient to Wynot’s future success on the court.
Conference runner-up Tri County Northeast placed two players on the first team while Homer, Bloomfield and Wausa each placed one player on the eight-member first team.
