HARTINGTON — The Cedar County News has names and addresses of several servicemen with local ties who are now serving in Saudi Arabia. Since some servicemen receive little correspondence, the following addresses have been established for anyone who wishes to write.

According to officials at the Hartington Post Office, there are some restrictions on parcels being sent to Saudi Arabia. Among prohibited items for those zip codes are religious articles, alcoholic beverages and pork. Most food, candy and clothing is acceptable. A customs form must be completed for packages. Newspapers and magazines also may be mailed to servicemen.

HARTINGTON — According to the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission office in Norfolk, 18 percent fewer deer permits were filled during this year’s hunting season than last season.
