Law enforcement searches for suspect in Randolph

RANDOLPH — Area law enforcement spent much of Monday night searching for a suspect in a robbery case.

At about 9:30 p.m. Nov. 17 the Randolph Police Department received a call about a burglary in progress at an unoccupied residence in the 300 block of E. Hughson Street.

Randolph Police arrived on scene within minutes. A witness on scene notified the officer they thought they saw a person running behind a fence in the backyard of a neighboring home.

A perimeter was established with assistance by the Cedar County Sheriff’s Office and a search of nearby homes was completed with no sign of the suspect.

As of press time no one had been apprehended in the case. Any homeowner who lives near the area with video footage or any additional information is encouraged to call the Randolph Police Department at (402) 337-0411.
