National recognition

Security Bank is named one of America’s ‘Most Extraordinary Banks’

ATLANTA — Security Bank, a longtime pillar in northeast Nebraska, was recently honored as one of the most extraordinary community banks in the nation by The Institute for Extraordinary7 Banking.

Security Bank received the prestigious Thank God It’s Monday! Culture Bank Award, recognizing banks that create a workplace culture where employees bring their best every day, for the good of their customers, communities, and each other.

“At Security Bank, we believe banking is about people, not products,” said Keith Knudsen, CEO of Security Bank. “This recognition reflects the heart of our employees, their commitment to our customers, and the belief that strong communities are built through relationships, trust, and service. We are proud to show what a community bank can mean to a community.”

The award is determined by a panel of industry experts and supported by results from a validated culture survey, reflecting the bank’s commitment to excellence, accountability, and service.

The Extraordinary Banking Awards shine a spotlight on community banks that fuel local economies and stand beside the people they serve.

“Community banks recognize the aspirations, dreams, and silent hopes of small businesses and families,” said Roxanne Emmerich, Chairman and Founder of The Institute for Extraordinary Banking. “The heart and soul of an extraordinary community bank is a visionary blueprint for its community’s success, and the ability to bring that vision to life.”

Security Bank was honored as one of the “Top 5 Percenters,” a designation reserved for banks that set the highest standards of community impact, culture, and financial excellence.

The Institute for Extraordinary Banking recognizes and celebrates the vital role community banks play in America’s economic success and cultural foundation.

Through its annual Extraordinary Banking Awards, the Institute highlights the very best banks in the country— banks that set new standards for service, philanthropy, innovation, and community commitment.
