LINCOLN - The Laurel-Concord-Coleridge Lady Bears made the most of a first trip to the Nebraska Volleyball Championships since, well technically ever.
Laurel-Concord made it to state in 2002 and Coleridge made it in 2008.
LCC earned a 25-23, 17-25, 25-22 and 25-22 win over Norfolk Catholic on Thursday to advance to Friday’s semifinals against Oakland-Craig with first serve set to be at 3 p.m. at Pinnacle Bank Arena.
Rena Rasmussen had 27 kills in the match to go along with 20 digs followed by 16 winners from Kaida Eriksen. Eriksen also recorded a double-double with 25 digs.
Carlie Kvols made it a trifecta with 17 digs to go along with her 47 set assists to propel the Lady Bears.
Laurel-Concord-Coleridge brings a 32-3 record into the semifinals against 29-7 Oakland-Craig.
This will be the third time LCC and O-C have met this year.
The Lady Knights defeated LCC back on Sept.27 when the Lady Bears were in the middle of a three-game losing skid.
The Lady Bears beat O-C last week in the SubDistrict title game .
