Wynot sweeps Red Cloud in Opener

LINCOLN -It took a while for the top seeded Wynot Lady Blue Devils took a while but once the ladies from the north got it going Red Cloud was no match, exiting the tournament thanks to the Lady Blue Devil’s 25-23, 25-13 and 25-19 sweep of the Lady Warriors at Pinnacle Bank Arena Thursday morning.

Wynot rode the right arm of Kenna Oligmueller who would finish with 18 kills in three match and the two hands of setter Haley Wieseler who tipped up 36 set assists.

“It took us a little while to get going but once we settled in things were much better,” said Wynot coach Tristan Wieseler._

Wynot will move on to playing the winner of a match between Garden County and Dundy-County-Stratton at 9 a.m. Friday back at A PBA.
