WYNOT - The Randolph Lady Cardinal volleyball team added a couple of wins to their total on the season, unfortunately it was the Lady Cards last loss that ended their season in the D2-3 Subdistrict Tournament on Oct. 27 that ended the 2025 season.
In the opening round of the subdistrict, Randolph turned away Osmond 25-21, 25-20, 23-25 and 25-20 then dropped a 25-15, 25-18 and 25-17 sweep to top-seeded Wynot to end the season 6-25.
Statistics for Monday’s final two matches were not posted at press time and will be reporded in the next issue of the Randolph Times.
On Oct. 20, the Lady Cards split a pair of consolation matches in the Lewis & Clark Conference Tournament, dropping a 25-15 and 25-15 best-of-three-sets match to Winnebago before defeating Walthill 25-11 and 25-18.
The Lady Cards were paced by Mabel Ngebeh with 10 kills in the match with the Lady Blujays. Lilly Kuchta added four winners, Alaina Schulz and Sydney Robinson posted two kills each.
Kuchta rifled four ace serves, Kynlee Winkelbauer and Ngebeh posted two apiece while Delayne Thelen and Alexis Backhaus each had one ace serve.
Ella Graf tipped up 10 set assists, Brooke Meier recorded seven.
Backhaus recorded nine digs, Meier added six, Ngebeh five, Graf had four and Winkelbauer three.
In the loss to the Lady Indians, Graf had three ace serves and five assists, Ngebeh and Kuchta hit four winners each, Robinson and Meier tacked on two apiece.
Backhaus recorded 10 digs and successfully passed along 21 serves in serve receiving.
