Tree removal is undereway at Lewis and Clark SRA

CROFTON — Hunters will notice tree removal taking place in the Bloomfield Area of Lewis and Clark State Recreation Area this fall and should take the necessary safety precautions.

The presence of contractors working in the area, which will remain open, may disturb some traditional hunting locations and increase traffic.

Hunters, including deer hunters, should be aware of their surroundings and clearly identify their target and what lies beyond it. They should use extra caution when accessing or hunting near areas with visible construction activity.

The tree removal work is part of the Weigand Marina upgrade project.

Questions may be directed to the park office at 402-388-4169.
