LAUREL — Darly Garcia-Perez and Christian Staples have been selected to participate in the Midland Festival Choir on Oct. 20 in Fremont.
Garcia-Perez and Staples were chosen through an audition process and will join 81 other students from schools across the region for a full day of rehearsal and performance.
The festival concert is open to the public, and will take place at 5 p.m.
The Choir will be under the direction of Joel Johnston, Director of Vocal Music at Midland University, and Dr. Marjorie Simons-Bester, Adjunct Director of Vocal Jazz.
This event celebrates outstanding young vocalists and provides them with an opportunity to learn from collegiate-level directors while sharing their musical talents with the community.
