RANDOLPH — The Randolph Woman’s Club met on Monday, Oct. 13 at the Lied Public Library.
Guest speaker Jan Schiferl led the meeting with singing ‘America the Beautiful.’
She is not only a speaker, but also a talented singer/songwriter, who took the Club through a musical journey of her life.
Jan and her husband, Greg, own W.J. Ranch, located between Yankton and Fordyce. They train horses and raise cattle, and also host several events there each year.
They recently hosted a September concert and are now preparing for their annual “Cowboy Christmas,” which will be held the weekend after Thanksgiving.
Many items were collected at the meeting to be donated to the St. John’s Food Pantry. Debbie Wiese and Deb Turner delivered them right after the meeting.
Plans are in full swing for the club’s annual Craft Show, which will take place at the City Auditorium on Saturday, Nov. 1, and also for the Christmas dinner on Dec. 8, at the Kilburn home.
Due to the Craft Show, there will be no November meeting.
