City receives $500 Safety Grant

LINCOLN — The City of Hartington recently received a Lean on LARM Safety Grant to purchase materials to build new street barricades. Casey Schulte, City of Hartington Clerk/Treasurer, applied for the grant.

“These barricades will be used for a variety of community uses like blocking streets while repair work is being completed and community events,” said Schulte. “Our local Hartington Dayz celebration continues to grow and the need to block off more of the downtown for event safety requires more barricades. These new barricades will help the City of Hartington to keep the community safer and prevent injury to citizens during events and to staff and citizens while repairs are being completed.”

The League Association of Risk Management provides the $500 Safety Grant to its members to purchase safety items for their community.
