Wynot students save lives, work to earn scholarship

WYNOT — Students at Wynot High School proved that leadership and generosity go hand in hand during their recent LifeServe Blood Center Scholarship Blood Drive. Together, donors collected 16 units of blood – enough to help up to 48 hospital patients in need.

This drive not only provided lifesaving blood for patients, but also contributed to scholarship opportunities for Wynot High School students. LifeServe’s Scholarship Program rewards schools and student leaders who step up to make a difference, turning community impact into real scholarship dollars with scholarships ranging from $500 to $5000. Blood drives like this show the incredible heart of our students, they’re not just saving lives today – they’re building a legacy of service for our school and our community.

Milestone donorsincludeBradKinney, onegallon;ColeWiebelhaus, fourgallons. Shelley Groene, and the Wynot High School staff, students and volunteers made this event possible and their support is much appreciated.

The next Wynot Area Blood Drive is the Kenna Oligmueller Scholarship Blood Drive, Dec. 22, 12:30 to 6 p.m., at the Wynot Fire Hall.
