WAUSA - The 2025 edition of the Lewis & Clark Conference Cross Country Meet was held here Oct. 10 with Randolph sending its team of the two runners to the meet.
Bloomfield/Wausa won the boys’ division of the race posting a team score 12, six spots ahead of runner-up, Homer with 18. Creighton was third with 28 and Tri County Northeast was fourth with 48.
Conner Rohrer of Creighton took the gold medal after covering the 5,000-meter course in 17-minutes, 19.20-seconds, Ty Freeman of Bloomfield/ Wausa was second in 17:25. 63 and teammate Luke Woockman was third in 17:44.73.
Cardinal harrier Brayden Worlein finished 42nd with a time of 25:21.23. Homer won the girls’ team title with 14 points, Tri County Northeast was second with 25 points, five points ahead of the Bloomfield/Wausa girls team.
Avery Brummels of Winside was the medalist with a time of 21:26.76 while Destiny Rich was second in 21:41.70.
Lady Cardinal Emily Gilliland finished just out of the medals, placing 17th with a time of 24:37.36.
Randolph is set to run in the D-2 District Cross Country Meet at Skyview Lake in Norfolk hosted by Norfolk Catholic on Oct. 16.
