RANDOLPH — Second Lieutenant Sandra K. Munter has completed a two weeks orientation course in the U.S. Air Force Nurse Corps at Sheppard AFB, Wichita Falls, Texas. After spending a few days at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Munter, Jr., she will report to Castle AFB, Merced, Calif. for further assignment.

RANDOLPH — Airman Richard Huwaldt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Huwaldt, has completed basic training at Lackland AFB, Texas. He has been assigned to Sheppard AFB, Texas for training in accounting and finance. Airman Huwaldt is a 1965 graduate of Randolph High School.

RANDOLPH — Sp5 Merlin Folkers returned September 23 to Fort David, Panama Canal Zone where he is a special orders clerk in the personnel department.

RANDOLPH — Ronald Scott left this week from Hartington to go to Omaha as a Cedar County inductee for the U.S. Army.
Son of Mrs. O.H. Scott, he attended Wayne State College two years and Western Iowa Tech two years following his graduation from St. Frances High School.
He was employed at Hydro Carbon Transportation in Bushton, Kan. Following his Iowa schooling.

RANDOLPH — Four Randolph High School vocalists, Debbie Borst, Jana Buchanan, Kevin Leapley and Sylvia Truby will audition Saturday for the Nebraska Music Educators Clinic at Creighton. Miss Joan Bobenmayer, vocal instructor will accompany them. The clinic will be held in Grand Island November 19-21.

RANDOLPH —Kelly Lackas, a freshman at the University of South Dakota Springfield and a member of the Pointerettes Volleyball team, has been instrumental in the school’s five wins and one loss record. Lackas, a member of the varsity, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Lackas and a 1980 graduate of Randolph High School.

RANDOLPH — Mark Stevens and Tray Borst reigned as king and queen over this year’s homecoming dance following the Randolph-Neligh football game on Friday evening. Tracy is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roger Borst, and Mark is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Stevens.

RANDOLPH — An appreciation supper for firemen, ambulance drivers, city councilmen, retired firemen, their spouses and others were served by the ladies of St. John’s Lutheran Church on Monday evening.
Prior to the meal the Randolph Rural Fire District furnished a social hour for those in attendance.
