CROFTON - The Randolph cross country trio was limited to a duo when it traveled to Lewis & Clark State Park near Crofton Sept. 25.
Norfolk Catholic won the boys division of the invitational with a team score of 18, 32 spots in front of Bloomfield/Wausa which placed second with 50, Wayne was third with 52.Norfolk Catholic’s Jonah Ash was the first runner to hit the mat finishing with a time of 16-minutes, 51.90-seconds. Ty Freeman of Bloomfield/Wausa was second in 16:53.90.
Randolph’s Brayden Worlein finished in 55th with a time of 27:35.90.
Crofton won the girls division with 14 points, Wayne was second with 42 and Laurel-Concord-Coleridge was third with 50.
Avery Arens of Crofton blistered the field, finishing first with a time of 17:04.62, over three minutes in front of the runner-up, Tayla Hurner of Wayne in 20:21.44.
Lady Cardinal Emily Gilliland placed 40th with a time of 27:19.96. Randolph cross country will be back in action Oct. 2 at the Creighton Invitational.
