Annual event involves students, and the entire LCC community
LAUREL — LCC students and staff have made some big plans for this week’s Homecoming celebration.
Homecoming week started Sunday, Sept. 28 with a pep rally at Haskell Field. The week wraps up Friday, Oct. 3 with a parade, coronation, a football game and a dance.
Special spirit Dress-Up Days and activities are also being held throughout the week.
Friday’s Homecoming Parade will begin at 2: 30 p.m.
The Bear football team will kick off at 7 p.m. Friday for a game against state-rated Plainview.
Main Street businesses were also asked to help celebrate the week by decorating their windows and participating in the Glow Parade through downtown Laurel.
Students from all grade levels will vote on their favorite windows, and the winning business will be recognized at the football game.
Homecoming court girl’s candidates are: Holly Patefield, Kate Tasler, Tyler Recob, Stella Kock, and Addison Hoeppner. Boys candidates are: Kolten Settje, Oscar Salas, Dillon Munter, Tyrelle Sims, and Tyler Boysen. Master and Mistress of Ceremonies are Shane Langford and Kennedy Hall.
