HARTINGTON — At a meeting of the Hartington Council, 1233 Knights of Columbus Tuesday evening, the following officers were elected: Rev. Father Schnoetgen, chaplain; A.J. Lammers, grand knight; V.C. Hertert, deputy grand knight; J.H. Reifenrath, chancellor; Geo. Goetz, recording secretary; Dr. CJ Dendinger, financial secretary; Geo. Beste, treasurer; A.K. Lammers, Advocate; P.M. Thies, warden; Geo. Wiebelhaus, inside guard; Wm. Pick, outside guard.

HARTINGTON — The Paragon Ladies Aid Society will meet at Mrs. Elmer Elliot’s instead of at Mrs. Adolph Schager’s home on Oct. 7.

HARTINGTON — Mrs. Tena Frerichs brought suit for a divorce from her husband, John C. Frerichs, in the District Court of Woodbury County, Iowa. The case was tried Wednesday in Sioux City, P.F. O’Gara appearing for the husband, who contested the divorce. The court denied the petition of Mrs. Frerichs, saying that the evidence was not sufficient on which to grant a divorce. Mrs. Frerichs was the divorced wife of Fred Bladen. She married John C. Frerichs some seven years ago. She has resided in Iowa the past year. Mr. Frerichs lives in the village of Coleridge.

HARTINGTON — There was no school Monday or Tuesday at Upper Logan School. The teacher, Miss Clarence, had an ulcerated tooth, which compelled her to have no school for a couple of days.

HARTINGTON — The second game of high school football will be played on the Hartington Campus this afternoon between Hartington and Laurel. The game is called at 3:45. The visitors have a good team this year and an interesting game is anticipated.
