WYNOT - The Wynot Lady Blue Devils put their 10-1 record on the line when they welcomed Laurel-Concord-Coleridge and Wakefield to town for a triangular on Sept. 25.
The Lady Bears brought a stellar 15-0 record to the festivities and left with an unblemished record.
Wynot battled to the very end against LCC but eventually fell, but not before showing they belonged in the match with the Lady Bears eking out a 26-24 and 26-24 win in the best-of-three-sets match.
Kenna Oligmueller and Mya Pinkelman paced the Wynot attack with seven kills each in the match, Jordan Foxhoven slammed four and Haley Wieseler recorded 15 set assists.
Jaylin Geisen had a couple of ace serves and 19 digs. Against the Lady Trojans, the Lady Blue Devils wasted little time in taking control of the match and raced to a 25-14 and 25-13 sweep of Wakefield.
Foxhoven served up three aces, Kiera Heimes had two and Oligmueller, Sudbeck and Geisen each had one.
Oligmueller added seven kills to her line in the match, Wieseler had 14 assists and Geisen had seven digs.
Wynot was set to travel to Tri County Northeast on Sept. 30 before hosting Homer Oct. 2.
