RANDOLPH—Faithe Adee tied for sixth place in the English placement test given to nearly 400 freshman who registered at the Wayne State teachers college the past week. Faithe is the daughter of Superintendent and Mrs. C. H. Adee of Randolph.

RANDOLPH—Letterman in this year’s football squad include Riley, DeKay, Bruer, Byergo, Radford, Otteman, Huwaldt, Roberts, Jacobson, Brandt, and Peper. The local squad has 40 boys in suit ranging from seventh graders to seniors.

Tuesday for New York City where she enters the Traphagen School of Art and Designing.

RANDOLPH—First Sergeant George Hayward, who enlisted in the army eight years ago, has received his discharge at a separation center in California. With the seventh division, he was in the Aleutian campaign and also in the Pacific Islands before going to his last assignment in Okinawa.

RANDOLPH—Sergeant Melvyn Rosenbach, instrument specialist in heavy bombardment of the Army air Corps, was discharged Sept. 22 at Drew Field Tampa, Florida and arrived in Randolph on Monday. He entered service in Nov. 1942 and in March 1944 went to England where he was with an eighth Air Force group of liberators being stationed at the same base for 16 months.

RANDOLPH—Donald Rohde, one of three sons of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Rohde in the Armed Forces, has received his discharge from the Navy after three years and eight months service.
He enlisted in January of 1942 and attended the school at the Navy pier in Chicago for six months before going to Richmond, Florida where he was stationed as the mechanic of an air combat crew.
