1960: Randolph pharmacist retires after 41 years career here

Sept. 25, 1980

RANDOLPH— The Randolph High Cards traveled to Madison Friday night defeating them 33-0. Randy Green and Brian Moore each were titled with two touchdowns, and Mark Stevens with one.

The Cards take on the undefeated record of 3-0 to Pierce on Friday.

RANDOLPH— Over 400 persons passed through the food line at the Farmers’ Appreciation Supper on Monday evening at the Randolph City Auditorium. The dinner was sponsored by the Randolph businesses and professional people.

RANDOLPH— With several of the flights in the Randolph Golf Tournament completed Lyle Nannen is the new local champion for the coming year.

He defeated Champion Neil Kluver in the finals over the weekend.

RANDOLPH — After 41 years of providing Randolph with pharmacy services, cards and gift shop items Mr. and Mrs. Hartz are looking forward to retirement.

The couple came to Randolph in July 1949, taking over the town’s pharmacy from its precious pharmacist, Mike Bowles.

RANDOLPH — The Randolph Arts Council production “The Prisoner of Second Avenue” entertained sold out capacity crowds last weekend when over 450 people attended the group’s two performances.
