PENDER — With just three runners in uniform, Randolph still made noise at the Pender Invitational on Sept. 18 at Twin Creeks Golf Club. Emily Gilliland placed 25th in the girls race, while brothers Kamdin and Brayden Worlein finished
40th and 47th in the boys field.
Laurel-Concord-Coleridge dominated the girls team standings with 11 points, ahead of Ponca (31).
Ponca’s Ava Brennan won the 5,000 meters in 20:36.79, followed by LCC’s Kate Tasler
(21:27.62). Gilliland was Randolph’s lone entrant, clocking
24:25.69.
Homer claimed the boys title with 11 points, with Oakland-Craig second (37). Ponca’s Gannon Pfister took medalist honors in 17:39.40, edging Archangel Catholic’s Jaiden Anderson (17:46.62). Kamdin Worlein ran 22:27.77 for 40th; Brayden Worlein finished in
26:06.94 for 47th.
