The Lewis & Clark Natural Resources District (LCNRD) is pleased to announce its third annual Amateur Photo Contest, designed to encourage residents to explore the outdoors and showcase the beauty of our local natural resources.
Entries are open through December 31, 2025. Eligible photos must feature subjects related to natural resources—such as wildlife, landscapes, recreation, or agriculture— and be taken within this district (Cedar, Dixon, or the eastern half of Knox Counties). The contest is open to amateur photographers who reside in the district.
Submission guidelines:
• Limit two photos per photographer. • Submit photos electronically to [email protected] .
• Include your name, address, phone number, a title for each photo, and the location where each was taken. Prizes will be awarded to the top three entries. Winning photos will be made into canvas prints for the photographers, and the first-place photo will be displayed at the LCNRD office. “The contest has been a wonderful way to highlight the district’s natural beauty,” said LCNRD Chair Russ Schmidt. “We receive entries from across the district, and each year the photos remind us of all Nebraska has to offer.”
