RANDOLPH — The Randolph High School Cards won their season opener at Laurel when the scoreboard read 29-0 at the finish Friday.
Plainview will furnish the opposition Friday when they come to town.

RANDOLPH — The Randolph Golf Tournament’s first round advanced with many matches being played.
Three golfers remain in the chase for the championship as Lyle Nannen has won two matches and will play the winner of the Jack Sauser and Neil Kluver match in the finals.

RANDOLPH — Jean Koehler, who represented Randolph at Girls State in June, will be a guest of the American Legion Auxiliary and giver her report Tuesday evening at the VFW Home.

RANDOLPH — Joni Robinson showed the Champion Hampshire market Gilt at the 4-H Swine Show at the Nebraska State Fair the past week.
Lori Robinson earned first place on her Angus Steer at the State Fair. Daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Robinson, both are members of the Allen-Eastern Livestock Club.

RANDOLPH — On Sept. 22-23, Randolph will have the unique opportunity to experience the honor of the well known American playwright, Neil Simon in Randolph’s city auditorium. “The Prisoner of Second Avenue” will be presented by the Randolph Arts Council with a cast of six members.

RANDOLPH — KN Energy Inc., a division of Kinder-Morgan, Inc. announced that its KM for Kids program will help Randolph Summer Youth Program by giving $700 for new baseball and softball equipment, $370 to the City of Randolph for a new slide for the city park, $100 to the Randolph Cub Scouts for Day camp registration fees, $100 to Randolph Jr./Sr. Post Prom, $100 to R.O.A.R. for the Pumpkinfest and $100 to Randolph Area Ventures for activities during Randolph Fair.
