Sept. 1, 1955 HARTINGTON— Sale of the Feilmeier Pontiac business this week to Joe F. Peitz, Hartington, has been announced. Ownership of the business changed hands on Monday. Hugo Feilmeier, who has operated the business the past few years, declined to make public his future plans at this time. He indicated an announcement would be made later.
Peitz, who has been employed by Goetz Hardware for nearly three years, formerly operated a Mobil service station here.
Peitz, who will operate the business under the name of Peitz Pontiac, said he would continue all the agencies handled by Feilmeier.
In addition to Pontiac automobiles these include GMC trucks and New Idea farm machinery. Sept. 1, 1955 HARTINGTON— Ed Walz was elected President of the Greater Trinity Association at a recent meeting.
Otto Dendinger was named vice president and George Pick, secretary-treasurer.
New Board members named for three-year terms are: Bernice Miller, Otto Dendinger and George Pick. They replace Mrs.
C.E. Haley, Jack Dwyer and Leo Kathol.
The Greater Trinity membership drive begins this week. A $5 membership entitles a person to free admission to all Trinity home football and basketball games. At a general membership meeting last week, the association voted to assume the cost of furnishings for the stage in the new school building. Furnishings include, curtains, lighting and sound. Sept. 1, 1955 HARTINGTON— An All Star baseball game pitting players from the north half of the county against an aggregation from the south section, will be played to raise Red Cross funds for the relief of flood sufferers in eastern states.
County Red Cross Chairman Ralph Clements arranged the game, which will be played on the Coleridge ball diamond.
Charlie Huss of Hartington has been named as the North All Star manager.
He will use players from the Hartington team of the Elkhorn Valley League, as well as some of the best players from the Constance, Menominee, St. Helena, Fordyce, Bow Valley, Wynot and St. James teams of the Cedar County League.
