1000 Books Backer

Colt Backer, son of Clay and Kara Backer, Hartington, just completed the “1000 Books Before Kindergarten” program at the Hartington Public Library. He received a medal, certificate of completion, his final prize and a free book from the library. He also receives a personal pan pizza from Mama Mech’s. He will be attending Holy Trinity School in the fall of 2020.

Colt loves the Lego table at the library where one of his favorite things to build is an excavator. He likes attending StoryTime with Miss Kim and checks out lots of books on construction, particular books that have bulldozers and skid loaders in them. This program was launched to instill the love of reading, get children ready for school, and to encourage more parent/child library visits.
