1000 Books

Jade Leise, daughter of Preston and Emily Leise, just completed the “1000 Books Before Kindergarten” program at the Hartington Public Library.  She received a medal, certificate of completion, her final prize and a free book from the library. She also received a personal pan pizza from Mama Mech’s. Jade will be attending Holy Trinity School in the future. Almost 3, Jade loves attending Music Monday with Miss Kim and is a great listener during weekly StoryTime. She likes to check out books with Elsa and Anna from Frozen, and other princess books, but also enjoys listening to her older brother’s favorite books.  This program was launched to instill the love of reading, get children ready for school, and to encourage more parent/child library visits. Books are logged and prizes are awarded along the way.
