Cedar Catholic took on top-seeded Hastings St. Cecillia in first-round action of the 2018 State Girls Basketball Tournament.

Cedar has put together a four-game win streak — the second longest win streak of the season.
WAYNE — The Cedar Catholic boys basketball team advanced to the Class C2-5 Subdistrict finals with a 75-58 win over Laurel-Concord-Coleridge.
HARTINGTON — The Wynot Blue Devils used big second and third quarter scoring runs to down the Allen Eagles Tuesday night in the first round of D2-4 SubDistricts at Monsignor Werner Activity Center.
WAYNE - The Wildcats season ends in the Subdistrict Semifinals, with a 71-39 loss to Ponca in Wayne. The Indians are the top seed in Class C2, and the Wildcats soon fell into a deficit that the team could not climb out of.
The Women’s team competition at the City Tournament was won by Wintz Funeral Home (right) with a score of 2468. Team members are: Kim Emanuel, Kristi Wintz, Shala Kathol, and Pam Howell.
