There were 16 Hartington-Newcastle students selected for Pierce Honor Band. Those students include, (front) Logan Kneifl, Caleb Heimes-3rd Chair Trombone, Cameron Bruning, Harper Folkers, Celia Gall, Brooklynn Peters-1st Chair Tenor Sax, Ashlynn Dailey- 2nd Chair French Horn, Emma Hoeppner; (back) Owen Hart, Alyk Zach, Kyptin Collier- 1st Chair Tuba, Cris Kneifl- 4 year Member and scholarship, Merrick Folkers-1st year Tuba, Paisley Collier, Ali Ford-4 year member and scholarship, and Ella Hoeppner. Students selected for the Pierce Honor Band earn a scholarship and certificate for being selected for Pierce Honor Band for four years.

The FFA Blue Jacket took over downtown Lincoln April 3-5 for the 96th State FFA Convention, with 27 students from both local high school taking the challenge of competing in district contests, selling fruit and updating their Supervised Agricultural Experience, in order to be eligible to attend the State Convention.
