WYNOT — The Wynot Lady Blue Devils improved to 7-2 on the year with a three-set win over Lewis and Clark Conference foe Bloomfield.
The Lady Devils defeated Bloomfield 25-19, 25-21, 25-22 to earn the victory.
Wynot was paced in the contest by a very strong net performance by Sarah Wieseler, who eas 21-22 in attacks with 13 kills. Shelby Hans also had a good night at the net, making good on 16-21 attacks with nine kills.
Kelli Koch set up the offense with a perfect 72-72 in setting and 31 assists.
Kelli Koch and Chelsey Burbach paced the defense with nine digs each. Sarah Schulte chipped in with eight digs.
April Lauer was the old reliable at the service line, hitting on 21-24 serves with two aces. Kelli Koch also had a solid night from the service line with a 13-14 outing. She also slammed over six ace serves.
Wynot Coach Tammi Wieseler said her team is playing well right now.
“We did a really good job of mixing up the offense this game. It was nice to play well on the road,” she said. “I am proud of the way my team is starting to be more verbal on the court and working very hard on consistancy.”
Wynot will be in action again Oct. 2 when the Lady Blue Devils host Newcastle.
