Hartington — Leona K. Weber, 98, Hartington, died Nov. 20, 2007, at the Golden Living Center, Hartington.
Visitation was Nov. 22 at the Wintz Funeral Home, Hartington.
Funeral Services were Nov. 23, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Hartington, with the Rev. Andeas Stein officiating.
Burial was at the Greenwood Cemetery, Creighton.
Pallbearers were Jay Hackett, David Hackett, Carson McAfee, Harley Grosskop, Brett Mainquist and Bill Mainquist.
Leona Katherine Weber was born Jan. 1, 1909, in Creighton, to William and Katherine (Jundt) Anders. She grew up in Creighton and attended school there. She married William H. Weber June 18, 1930, in Pierce. William died Feb. 10, 1966, at the age of 65. Leona lived in Creighton until her daughter, Alice, died. She then moved to Hartington to help raise her two granddaughters, Peggy and Diane Wohlman.
She became a resident of the Golden Living Center in 2002. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church while in Creighton, and the Trinity Lutheran Church, Hartington.
Leona loved to cook and crochet.
Leona is survived by her daughter, Jean, and her husband, Don Hackett, Wichita, Kan.; son-in-law, Eugene Wohlman, Hartington; sister-in-law, Gladys Lortz, Omaha; four grandchildren, Kim and wife, Charlotte Hackett, Wichita, Kan.; Connie and Kurt McAfee, Wichita, Kan.; Peggy and Bill Phillips, Bakersfield, Calif.; Diane Wohlman, Norfolk; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
Leona was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William; and daughter, Alice Wohlman.
