Obituary – Diana R. McClintock

CROFTON – Diana Ruth McClintock, age 56 of Crofton, Nebraska, died on Thursday, December 20, 2007 at the Avera Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton, SD.

Funeral Services will be on Thursday, December 27, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at the United Church of Christ Congregational in Crofton with the Rev. Les Parmenter officiating.  Burial will be at the Crofton City Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 26, 2007 from 4-8:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. at the Wintz Funeral Home in Crofton.

Pallbearers will be Missy Bender, Eliza Lane, Dallas Suhr, Travis Auch, Robert Aerhalt, and Steve Thieman.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Class of 1969.

Diana Ruth McClintock was born on January 14, 1951 in Ainsworth, Nebraska to Val and Ruth (Lake) Luehrs.  She grew up in Long Pine NE and graduated from Crofton High School in 1969.  She received her associate degree in secretarial school at Northeast Technical Community College in Norfolk, NE.  She worked for Dr. Derby (Chiropractor) and also at International Harvester in Yankton as a secretary.  She received her Ophthalmology Assistant Certificate in Norfolk and began working for Filips Eye Clinic in Crofton and Creighton.  Diana then worked for Behavioral Health in Norfolk and Crofton.

Diana did seamstress for Harmony Notes in Yankton and for Cats in Crofton.

She is survived by her husband, David of Crofton; one daughter, DeYon McClintock of Crofton; twin granddaughters, Dany and Kenzie McClintock of Crofton; two brothers and one sister.

She was preceded in death by her father on February 28, 2002 and her mother, on November 2, 2007, nephew, Jeff Luehrs.
