ST. JAMES — A fire that started outside the Green Diamond Bar here Friday afternoon was put out by area fire fighters. Little information was immediately available, but the fire apparently started in a vehicle outside the building. The fire did not get inside the local landmark.
NEWCASTLE – At a special meeting of the Newcastle School Board, members of the Board responded to a strong public showing and declined cooperative agreements for the football program from two separate schools. Recently, Wynot Public Schools and Ponca Public Schools both sent offers to Newcastle. The neighboring districts offered an agreement to co-op their respective football programs with Newcastle

O’NEILL — The Wynot Blue Devils lost 46-0 to the speedy St. Mary’s Cardinals Friday. St. Mary’s dominated both sides of the ball and rolled up a 397-128 yardage advantage. O’Neill would pick off five interceptions and recover three fumbles for the game. Tait Sibbel had a big night for the Cardinals as he rushed 14 times for 138 yards
WYNOT — The Chambers Coyotes traveled to Wynot to battle the Blue Devils Friday in a game that turned into a high scoring affair. The two teams combined for 730 total yards of offense as Wynot was able to hang on for a 40-33 win

WYNOT – The Wynot Blue Devils picked up their first win of the 2011 campaign Friday with a hard-fought 28-14 win over Wausa. Wynot used a Jackson Sudbeck-to-Chris Schmidt combination for a pair of touchdown passes and Koby Sudbeck and Brady Stratman each had a rushing touchdown to lead the Blue Devils on offense
