Kellyn and Emily Dump replace Rob Dump and Peggy Year this week as Publishers of the Cedar County News, Laurel Advocate, Randolph Times and Osmond Republican. The Hartington couple began publishing the Cedar County News when they first moved to town with their young family in May 1992. They purchased the other newspapers Oct. 1, 1996. Kellyn grew up in the newspaper business. He began working full time at the Cedar County News in 2020. Emily began her duties at the paper in 2021. The couple lives in Hartington and has four young children. Rob and Peggy plan on working at the newspaper on a part-time basis for the time being.
