OSMOND — The Osmond High School Tiger track and field team opened the 2017 season at Wayne State College in the Division 1 indoor meet on Saturday, March 18. Leading the teams this year are state medal winners and state qualifiers, as well as school record holders.
The medal winners are the girls’ 400-meter relay team that placed fifth. They are Andrea Schmit, Haven Schultze and Makenzie Johnson. Record holders were the boys’ 1,600-meter relay team of Curtis Kralicek, Brett Simmons and Cole Moes. State qualifiers were Brock Johnson and Kyle Swallow. Additional letter winners are Shelby Aschoff, Kelly Schuettler, Caitlin Kumm, Tyler Reikofski, Bryan Manzer, Alex Alderson, Alex Palu and Jared Bessmer.
Rounding out the team are Asher Wattier, Anthony Heiman, Nick Reikofski, Joshua Gansebom, Landon Stelling, Aaron Chishiba, Keaton Timmerman, Alexis Solorzano, Justus Maertins, Mary Kahny, Kennedy Johnson, Madeline Huwaldt and Alex Brestel.
Coach Joe Ortmeier will be assisted by Brian Guenther and Jessica Evans.
