HARTINGTON — Cedar Catholic suffered yet another tough loss in action here Saturday.
Cedar and Lutheran High Northeast traded point for point in the early going, but the Eagles took control to start the second half, and Cedar could not climb back into it.
The Trojans’ second-half woes allowed the Eagles to run away for the 54-41 win.
Scoring just one field goal in the third quarter, the Trojans had a difficult time on offense to start the second half.
“I thought Lutheran High really picked up their intensity in the third quarter and we did not match it,” said Cedar head coach Matt Steffen. “They came out and scored the first five points of the third to go up by seven and we never really recovered from that.”
