Belden — Phyllis Huetig, 89, Belden, died March 30, 2017, at Faith Regional Health Services, Norfolk
Visitation was April 4 at Union Presbyterian Church, Belden.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., April 5, at Union Presbyterian Church
Belden, with Rev. Bob Burdett officiating.
Honorary pallbearers will be LuAnn Bartels, Nyla Eddie, Jane Pospisil, Jill Huetig, Shirley Sueper, Becky Huetig and Mary Huetig.
Active pallbearers will be Brian Eddie, Monty Hefner, Dave Anderson, Terry Graf, Brad Stapelman, George Schroeder and Lowell Johnson.
Interment will be in Belden Cemetery, Belden.
Arrangements are under the direction of Hasemann Funeral Home, Laurel.
Phyllis June Huetig, was born Jan. 17, 1928, at her grandparents’ home in Randolph, to Walter and Alice (Strom) Roland. She attended country school near Randolph, attended Randolph Public School, and graduated from Belden High School. Phyllis married Walter Huetig Jan. 24, 1947, in Dakota City. They lived all of their married life in Belden.
Phyllis worked with her husband in their trucking business, various businesses in Randolph, and for many years was a certified nurse’s aide at Colonial Manor, Randolph.
Phyllis enjoyed gardening, sewing, arts and crafts. Most of all she loved her family and friends and was a lover of pets.
She was a member of the Union Presbyterian Church and Ladies Aid in Belden, and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Phyllis is survived by her children, Cathy Huetig, Belden, and Douglas “Ted” (Dianna) Huetig, Randolph.
Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter, in 2002; infant son, Charles Dale; and brother, Lowell Roland.
