Hartington 12s put together impressive win streak

HARTINGTON — The Hartington 12-and-under softball girls recently wound up the 2012 season.
Hartington pounded out a big 18-16 win over Crofton on June 7. Liby Lange and Gina Jueden shared pitching duties in the win.
Lange, Belle Harms, and Willa Scoville got the Hartington offense started setting the table for Joelie Schrieber who then blasted a double to clear the bases.
In the second frame Harms hit another single, while Lange, Jueden, Kennedy Benson, and Abbe Morten all scored.

Lange, Jueden, Harms, Benson, and Aiden Wortmann all scored in the next frame.
In the fourth stanza, Lange, Tessa Knuston, and Tielor Kneifl all plated.
Hartington defeated Fordyce 3-2 in a June 12 contest.
Lange got things started with a single and Jueden, Hames, Schreiber and Knutson all scored.
In the second frame, Harms  smacked a double, and Lange, Jueden, Morten, and Wortman all scored.
In the third frame, Knuston singled, while Schreiber and Kneifl scored.
Lange had a big fourth inning, hitting a single and a triple. Scoville, Harms, Jueden, Schreiber, Knutson, and Reagan Hansen all singled in the frame and all girls scored.
Hartington suffered a 15-13 loss to Wynot on June 14.
Belle Harms and Joelie Schrieber both hit singles to score  Gina Jueden and Willa Scoville.
In the second frame, Lange, Jueden, Harms, Aiden Wortmann, and Reagan Hansen all scored.
In the third, Lange, Harms and Scoville all singled, and scored, while Hansen and Abbe Morten also crossed the plate.
Hartington claimed a big 15-9 win over Osmnd on June 19. Lange earned the win on the mound.
Scoville doubled and scored to lead the team in the opening frame. Lange, Jueden, Harms, and Schrieber also scored in the frame.
In the  second inning, Tielor Kneifl, Kennedy Benson, Reagan Hansen, Aiden Wortmann, and Liby Lange all scored.
In the third inning, Harms, Hames, Schreiber, Knutson, Kneifl, and Benson all scored.
Hartington defeated For-dyce 8-7 June 21 with Gina Jueden picking up the win.
1st – Gina, Belle, Joelie, Tessa, Tielor scoring.  Hartington 5. Gina striking out one.  Fordyce scoring 5.
2nd – Liby hitting single, Gina scoring.  Hartington 2.  Gina striking out 2.  Willa Scoville throwing runner out at first.
3rd – Tielor scoring, Kennedy Benson hitting single.  Hartington 1.  Gina striking out one, Reagan Hansen catching fly ball in left field.  Fordyce scoring 1.
Hartington defeated Osmond  11-3 on July 3 with Belle Harms doing the pitching.
Lange, Jueden, Harms, Scoville, and Schreiber all scored in the first frame.
Hartington put up four runs in the second frame as Lange, Abbe Morten, Brooklyn Kuehn, and Reagan Hansen all scored. Morten’s double was the big hit of the inning.
In the third inning, Tessa Knutson and Abbe Morten both scored. Morten again doubled in the frame.
Hartington fell behind and was never able to catch up July 5 against Crofton, falling 7-5 in the contest.
Joelie Schrieber and Liby Lange did the pitching for Hartington.
Hartington plated three first-inning runs, thanks to Lange, Jueden and Scoville. Crofton knotted the score with three runs of their own in their half of the inning.
In the second inning, Aiden Wortmann and Brooklyn Kuehn both scored, but Crofton plated three to take the lead.
Hartington was not able to score in the final frame, and Crofton plated one to take the win.
