Columbus — Terry J. Fischer, 53, died May 25, 2012, at Columbus Community Hospital, Columbus.
Visitation and Rosaries were May 28, with visitation continuing after 9 a.m. Tuesday.
Funeral services were May 29 at St. Francis Catholic Church, Humphrey, with Father John Andrews and Father Joe Miksch officiating.
Terry was born March 22, 1959, in Norfolk, to Alvin Fischer and Shirley Schaecher. He attended St. Francis Grade School and graduated from St. Francis High School in 1977. He was married to Lou Ann Hochstein for 24 years. He was employed the past 30 years with Courtesy Ford Dealership in Norfolk.
He treasured his grandchildren and faithful dog, Lady.
Terry is survived by his wife, Lou Ann, Platte Center; daughters and husbands, Karen and Kenny Buettne, Sedalia, Mo., and Katie and Aaron Marshall, Omaha; grandchildren, Connor, Cody, Lexus and Aiden; mother, Shirley Fischer, Humphrey; sister and husband, Bonnie and Kenney Kosch, Humphrey; brothers and spouses, Dick and Debi Fischer, Columbus; Jim and Rhonda Fischer, Lincoln; and Randy and Theresa Fischer, Cheyenne, Wyo.; mother-in-law, Delores Hochstein, Hartington; sisters-in-law and spouses, Rita and Paul Volk, Battle Creek; Deb and Jerry Heine, Hartington; Patty and Todd Pinkelman, Wynot; brothers-in-law and spouses, Bob and Val Hochstein, Grant; Chuck and Julie Hochstein, Hartington; Jeff and Mary Hochstein, Yankton, S.D.; Kevin and Jyl Hochstein, Coleridge; and many nieces and nephews.
Terry was preceded in death by his father, Alvin Fischer; niece, Randi Fischer, and father-in-law, Duane Hochstein.
