LAUREL — Larry Fuoss , 62, Laurel, died Jan. 24, 2011, at his home in Laurel.
Visitation was Jan. 26 at Hasemann Funeral Home, Wayne.
Funeral services were Jan. 27 at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Wayne, with Rev. Bob Oleson and Rev. Marc Rakow officiating.
Honorary Pallbearers were his grandsons, Brandon and Brody Andrews.
Active Pallbearers were Kody Urwiler, Randy Surber, Larry Lueders, Brandi Settje, Kevin Kay and Greg Urwiler.
Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery, Wayne.
Arrangements were under the direction of Hasemann Funeral Home, Wayne.
Larry Eugene Fuoss was born May 3, 1948, at Wayne to Ted and Helen (Westerhouse) Fuoss. He graduated from Wayne High School in 1966. Larry served in Vietnam with the United States Army from March 17, 1967- Feb. 1, 1969. He married Karen Olson July 1, 1972, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Rock Rapids, Iowa. The couple farmed near Wakefield. Larry was later employed as a welder at Broyhill Manufacturing, Wayne.
He enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles, fixing things, cars, going to the river, out to eat, and shopping. Larry enjoyed family time, especially his grandsons, nieces, and nephews. He was always ready to give a helping hand.
Larry is survived by his children, Trent and wife, Donna Fuoss, Rock Rapids, Iowa; Krista and huband, Shaun Andrews, Beresford, S.D.; and Troy Fuoss, Bird Island, Minn.; grandsons, Brandon and Brody Andrews; brother and wife, Ralph and Darlene Fuoss, Glenwood, Iowa; sisters, Jeanette and husband, Ken Thomas, Bellevue; Lila Kay, Wayne; Joyce Moore, Omaha; Elaine and husband, Bill Lueders, Wayne; and Deb and husband, Greg Urwiler, Laurel; and nieces and nephews.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Marian Surber; brothers-in-law, Harold Surber and Johnnie Kay; niece, Keri Jo Thomas; and aunt, Lila Jones.
